Fence line clearing

We keep clear access along your boundary fences and stop overgrowth from damaging posts and wire.

Expert fence line clearing

We keep your property boundaries accessible and protect your fencing from vegetation damage. We clear and maintain corridors along fence lines so you can inspect, repair and maintain your fences. Regular clearing also stops overgrowth from causing costly damage to posts and wire.

What you gain

  • Clear corridors for fence inspections and repairs
  • Posts and wire protected from vegetation pressure
  • Firebreaks along property boundaries
  • Clear sight lines for security and stock management
  • Boundaries that meet council and fire safety rules

Our approach

  • We assess the condition of each fence line first
  • We remove vegetation selectively to protect fencing
  • We clear corridors, usually 2 to 3 metres wide
  • We cut back overhanging branches and vines
  • We can set up an ongoing maintenance program

Vegetation issues we address

Common problems

  • Vine entanglement. Climbing vines that pull on wire and posts.
  • Tree overhang. Branches that fall on or grow through the fence.
  • Grass build-up. Tall grass that traps moisture and rusts wire.
  • Woody weeds. Lantana, blackberry and other invasive species.
  • Root damage. Vegetation that loosens and undermines posts.

Our solutions

  • Selective clearing. We target the problem and keep useful vegetation.
  • Access corridors. Wide enough for vehicles and equipment.
  • Preventive maintenance. Regular visits to slow regrowth.
  • Chemical-free options. Mechanical clearing for sensitive areas.
  • Debris management. We mulch or remove the cleared material.

How it works

1

Assessment

We walk the fence lines, note problem areas and check access for vehicles and equipment.

2

Planning

We plan the clearing to suit the fence type, the vegetation and the width you need.

3

Clearing

We clear with the right tools and techniques, working carefully around posts and wire.

4

Maintenance

We can set up an ongoing program to keep the fence lines clear and accessible.

Equipment we use

We use electric Kress hand tools for regular clearing, which keeps the work quiet and free of on-site emissions. For overgrown or large areas, we use a 36-inch petrol Bobcat zero-turn mower.

Hand tools

  • Brush cutters. Precise work near posts and wire.
  • Hedge trimmers. Shaping and tidying cleared areas.
  • Hand saws. Careful work around fence fittings.

Machinery

  • Bobcat zero-turn mower. Wide corridors on large or overgrown blocks.
  • 4WD access. Reaching remote fence lines.

Safety gear

  • Protective clothing. Cut-resistant and high-visibility gear.
  • Face protection. Helmets with mesh visors.
  • First aid. A full kit for work on remote properties.
